Art classes are challenging, educational, and fun. And the Center for Museum Education offers both short-form workshops and multi-session courses for adults as well as after-school art adventures for children. Registration opens August 17 for fall schedule. Adults offerings include special workshops in watermedia/collage, acrylics, watercolor, calligraphy, and nature photography, among other subjects. There's even a one-day session that will empower you to do your own calligraphy for the holiday season! Regular adult courses include drawing, and painting. For youngsters, there are after school workshops in landscapes and portraits. For information about the courses, use the links at the right. (Printable versions will be available for download on August 5.) If you want a printable version, one is available for download in Adobe Acrobat format. (See the note below regarding Acrobat files). If you're a member of the Museum Association, these courses are an exceptional value: those who pay less than $100 per year in membership fees save 10%; contributor or sponsor-level members save 20% on registration. The Museum participates in an administrative partnership with Furman University, and Furman manages all registrations. Call Furman's "Learning for You" department at 864/294-3134 to register or send a fax, using the registration form. Additional contact numbers: 864/294-2153 or 294-2156. If you have questions, call Center Program Director Anne Barr at 271-7570, extension 12, or send her an e-mail. Withdrawal policy Adobe Acrobat: files for download can be viewed in the Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free plugin you can acquire from Adobe.com.
