The Center for Museum Education offers courses for adults and children. This fall, the schedule includes a special series of workshops that celebrate nature, an interesting complement of short-form workshops in pastels, oil, and watermedia. For advanced artists, there's an eight-week critique group led by painter and educator Michael Broedeur. Adult multi-session courses include ceramics, drawing, and painting. For youngsters, there are after school workshops in drawing, clay, and mixed media. If you're a member of the Museum Association, these courses are an exceptional value: those who pay less than $100 per year in membership fees save 10%; contributor or sponsor-level members save 20% on registration. The Museum participates in an administrative partnership with Furman University to expand the reach of educational programs. Furman's Division of Continuing Education (Lifelong Learning) will manage registration and collect fees related to the courses. You can call 864-294-3134 for additional information. For a listing of all courses, use the links at the right. A printable copy will be available soon. Registration opens August 18. If you have questions, call Center Program Director Anne Barr at 271-7570, extension 12, or send her an e-mail.
